Introducing the Philodendron Brandtianum on Moss Pole, a stunning and versatile addition to any indoor botanical collection. This elegant plant, also known as the Silver Stripe Philodendron, showcases beautiful foliage and a graceful growth habit that will instantly elevate the aesthetic of your living space.

Originating from the tropical regions of South America, the Philodendron Brandtianum is naturally found growing as an epiphyte, often clinging to trees and absorbing nutrients from the air and rain. This unique growth habit gives it a distinctive appearance and makes it a captivating sight in any indoor garden.

The Philodendron Brandtianum features heart-shaped leaves with delicate silver stripes running along the centre of each leaf, creating a striking contrast against the rich green backdrop. The leaves have a slightly velvety texture, adding to the overall allure of this plant.

Caring for the Philodendron Brandtianum is relatively straightforward, making it an ideal choice for both beginner and experienced plant enthusiasts. Here are some essential care tips to ensure its well-being:

Light Requirements: Place the Philodendron Brandtianum in bright, indirect light. It thrives in medium to bright light conditions but should be protected from direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Temperature and Humidity: Maintain a moderate room temperature between 18°C and 24°C (65°F and 75°F). The Philodendron Brandtianum enjoys average to slightly higher humidity levels, so misting the leaves or placing a tray of water nearby can create a favourable microclimate.

Watering: Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of the soil feels slightly dry. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot. Adjust the watering frequency based on environmental conditions and the moisture needs of the plant.

Potting Mix and Repotting: Use a well-draining potting mix suitable for tropical plants. Repot the Philodendron Brandtianum every one to two years or when it outgrows its current container, providing fresh potting mix to support its growth. We advise letting new plants settle for 12 months before repotting to avoid plant shock.

Fertilizing: Feed the Philodendron Brandtianum with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) to promote healthy growth and vibrant foliage. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package to avoid over-fertilization.

Styling-wise, the Philodendron Brandtianum complements various interior aesthetics, from modern to traditional. Its trailing vines make it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or elevated planters, where its lush foliage can cascade gracefully. Alternatively, it can be trained to climb a moss pole, adding vertical interest to your indoor garden.

An essential classic
Format: Paperback
The book has a scathing view of nobility and the upper class, with the regular people just a part of the scenery, so an allegory that has aged well and applies to modern times. I think it's an essential read to anyone who enjoys literature, as it can be argued that it's the genesis of many themes in modern stories.

Not bad, but still had flaws
Format: Paperback
While the novel was great in a way, I felt that it was outdated to me. It was written in the time that anti-heros were poorly made and if the creator of Reynard was aiming for Anti-hero when developing Reynard, he missed and hit sociopath instad. The pictures in the books are also outdated and laughable in our times. Reynard looks more like a shaved dog on the cover, I had a hard time identifying Noble the lion in his photos, ect. and the ending did`nt seem fullfilling though I felt a kick of excitment a few times.

Nice translation
Format: Paperback
It is not easy to translate poetry into poetry. It's bad enough simply trying to translate to prose. Ms. Terry does an excellent job. I read Le Roman de Renart in French while I was studying in France. Years later, I came across this translation. It is fascinating the way the original storytellers portrayed Renart. He is a completely hateful creature. Yet reading about him is fun. It's similar to how I feel about stories of Loki or Coyote. Renart is closer to Loki than to Coyote, despite the canine ancestry. He is more than simply a trickster: he is malevolent. If you have an interest in ancient folktales, you mustn't miss the story of Renart. This translation is different from any other I've read. The introduction gives a good perspective on the times when the stories were hatched.

Pretty good translation into English. Far from a complete collection, but certainly a good foundation.
